A Woermann Brock employee was fined N$4000 for selling alcohol to members of the Namibia Defence Force on 23 April 2020 at Woermann Brock, Monte Christo Road, LaFrenz area, the Namibian Police confirmed.
NamPol said the Members of the NDF who bought the liquor are yet to be found. Investigation continues.
NDF and NamPol vehemently deny any knowledge of who the alleged members are.
The alleged purchaser, known to Eagle fm, who is said to be an NDF senior also denied being fined for violating lockdown regulations.
Eagle fm continues attempts in confirming the names of the individuals
A total of 82 pigs are reported to have died due to the African swine fever while about 297 have contracted the fever, said State Veterinarian Dr Josephat Peter at the Outapi Veterinary Office to Eagle fm.
The African Swine fever affected 23 villages in five constituencies of Omusati region namely: Tsandi, Outapi, Ogongo, Anamulenge and Okahao.
After farmers reported the sudden death in pigs to the Outapi State Veterinary Office, an investigation was conducted by Central Veterinary Laboratory on the 24th of April 2020 which confirmed that it is African Swine Fever on the 25th April 2020.
According to investigation, the outbreak is suspected to have started in the second week of March 2020.

Children of the liberation struggle find themselves in hardship five years after government promises them jobs at Farm Ndilimani outside Windhoek
In an interview with Eagle fm, Ndamononghenda Julius said they were located on the farm on 12 December 2015 with the promise of jobs shortly afterwards however ever since then there has been little communication with when it will be realised.
Julius said they have been writing letters to different ministries but are yet to receive any feedback.
Their appeal to the government to address their plight had fallen on deaf ears.
Another member of the group Albertina Ekandjo said they are a group of 80 that have to use one toilet and shower. When the toilet is occupied the rest are forced to relieve themselves in the bushes where they face snakes.
Nation Jeremia and Laina Shikongo from the same group said they have the skills to be employed and all they are asking for is the opportunity to put it to use as well as make any sort of income from it.

Swapo Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa said she will not comment and Eagle fm must wait until she is back in the office Tuesday.
