The vibrant atmosphere that once characterised the town has waned, leaving small businesses and street vendors grappling with the aftermath.

The Villager’s northern correspondents conducted a thorough observation of economic activities along various routes leading to the border town, and the impact is unmistakable.

Previously bustling commercial hubs now bear witness to numerous empty spaces, a stark contrast to their former vibrancy.
