Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Lucia Iipumbu, says the cooling sector has the potential to drive innovation, create jobs, and foster economic growth.

Iipumbu who spoke during the stakeholder consultations on the draft Special Economic Zone (SEZ), National Informal Economy, Startup and Entrepreneurship Development Policy (NIESED), Namibia Investment Promotion and Facilitation Bill, and National Cooling Strategy in Walvis Bay on Monday, underscored the critical role of cooling technologies.

She highlighted their significance, particularly in light of escalating global temperatures and the increasing frequency of extreme weather events.
