President Nangolo Mbumba says Namibia will adopt Angola’s model for oil and gas development.

Mbumba made this declaration at the conclusion of his one-day official visit to Angola on Tuesday.

The visit culminated in a tour of Sonangol Integrated Logistic Services (SONILS) at the Port of Luanda, where Mbumba familiarised himself with its operations.

“Sooner or later, as we develop our own oil and gas industry, we will have to come back here, or we’ll have to send people here to come and learn how things are done properly. You can see the safety, and the many other companies that are operating here, and the benefits for all the people, not only, maybe of Angola, but also SADC and the world. That’s how things are done,” Mbumba stated to state media NBC.
