China pledges to support Namibia’s national development priorities through technology transfer, technical cooperation, and project partnerships, marking a significant elevation
in bilateral relations.

Over the five quarters from the start of 2025 through the first quarter of 2026, Namibia spent N$46.2 billion on consumable imports—its largest import category—highlighting the country’s heavy reliance on foreign goods and the pressing need for domestic value-added production to reduce import dependence.
