Official opening of the budget reform roll-out workshop: In the face of mounting
geopolitical tensions and economic instability, the Namibian government is launching
a rigorous fiscal reform initiative—centered on outcome-based budgeting—to
safeguard the nation’s 2026/27 budget and ensure long-term sustainability.

To address a staggering national housing backlog exceeding 300,000 units, the
Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Development (ISUD) institute has proposed five
strategic pathways designed to improve housing affordability and delivery for
Namibia’s low-income population.
