Some learners tend to put their books aside and focus only on playing during the holidays, completely disconnecting from their studies. While rest and recreation are important, a long break without any academic engagement can make it difficult to retain what was learned during the first term.

As a result, when school reopens, many students struggle to recall key concepts covered during the first trimester and may find it challenging to catch up.

Maintaining a balance between playing and studying during the holidays can make a significant difference. Setting aside a little time for revision, reading, or light practice can help keep the mind active and prepared for the next term. Holidays should refresh learners, but they should also be used wisely to reinforce knowledge and build confidence for future learning.

However, this requires parental anf guardians participation.
