Technology has given rise to what is now known as thw digital economy which includes things like digital communications and digital payment platforms among others. The digital economy is integrated in every step of doing business today creating digital labour platforms which requires labour and social protection mechanism that exist in the physical labour platforms to be implemented in the digital one.
