Second Namibia–EU Business Forum to take place in May 2026, as Namibia continues to strengthen its economic ties with the European Union.

This episode of OTR cover Asser Nashikaku, ED of MIRT who said this year’s forum will be held under the theme, “Towards stronger, greener, and more diversified economies: Catalysing business and trade opportunities between the EU and Namibia.”

The forum forms part of Namibia’s broader strategy to position itself as a regional hub for green industrialisation, leveraging its abundant renewable energy resources and growing interest from European investors. Recent developments—such as large-scale green hydrogen projects and renewable energy partnerships—have underscored Namibia’s ambition to transition toward a low-carbon economy while creating jobs.
