1. Sanet L. Steenkamp spoke at Namibia’s commemoration of World Press Freedom Day 2026 and the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the historic Windhoek Declaration on Promoting an Independent and Pluralistic African Press. Event also marked the inscription of the Windhoek Declaration on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.

2. Namibia University of Science and Technology hosted its May 2026 graduation ceremony in Windhoek, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah addressed the ceremony, where she emphasized the importance and of incorporating the boy child.
