Ancient Maps and Cartography which made them. A lot of the known world today was an unknown world 500 years ago. This did not deter past explorers, travellers and traders from going to places and finding new things to sell, places to explore or people to meet. However, some of the maps had a few things in common – the authors did not travel to any of the places beforehand! Which is a prerequisite for drawing a map.
