Pick n Pay today said it will retrench more than 500 Namibians while the Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union on Wednesday said Pick n Pay Namibia will retrench about 1 500 employees.

The Education Ministry on the advice from the Health Ministry has today with immediate effect suspended classes at Mariental Secondary School for a period of 14 days until the 6 July 2020.

The Namibian has closed its Keetmanshoop office and is still making a decision whether to close its two other regional offices, as the country’s biggest paper continues their retrenchment process.
