The much-anticipated Rent Control Bill will not be among the 15 bills slated to be tabled in parliament during the upcoming session.
Justice minister Yvonne Dausab confirmed this in a recent statement.
In her statement, Dausab indicated that Bills to be introduced in the upcoming parliament session include the Divorce Bill, Marriage Bill, Civil Registration Bill, Public Gathering Bill, among others.
Former Urban and Rural Development Deputy Minister, Natalie Goagoses, told The Villager that she had assisted Minister Erastus Uutoni with the bill before switching her portfolio to Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation.
