Namibia is faced with the challenge of creating between 370,000 and 400,000 jobs within the next seven years to meet the Vision 2030 objective of reducing unemployment.
This is according to economic advisor to the President and Green Hydrogen Commissioner James Mnyupe.
He revealed this during the EU-Namibia Business Forum held in Brussels, Belgium on Tuesday.
The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) reported that the country’s unemployment rate was 33.4% in the 2018 Namibia Labour Force Survey, a slight decrease from 34.0% in 2016.
