Namibia has taken a significant step in facilitating international travel by launching visas on arrival for nationals of 56 countries, including 27 from Africa and 29 from other parts of the world.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Albert Kawana, during a launch event held at various border points, including Oshikango, Mohembo, Oranjemund, Ariamsvlei, and Noordoewer.

Kawana highlighted the pivotal role of Namibia’s thriving tourism sector, attributing part of its success to government initiatives such as online visa applications and the introduction of visas on arrival.
