Enertrag’s chief executive officer, Tobias Bischof-Niemz, has expressed optimism about Namibia’s green hydrogen initiatives saying the country has a potential to industrialise through investments and the production of green hydrogen.

Bischof-Niemz, who was speaking at the International Energy Agency conference, is also an advisor to Hyphen Hydrogen Energy, the German company overseeing the hydrogen project in Lüderitz, Namibia.

At that platform, Bischof-Niemz discussed Namibia’s potential in the renewable energy sector during the discussions on ‘Renewable Energy for Sustainable Economic Development,’ which focused on Africa and ongoing developments in the region.

Bischof-Niemz emphasised the immediate benefits that Namibia stands to gain from these initiatives.
