The Kamanjab Village Council says it has commissioned the drilling of four boreholes to improve water supply at the town.
The four boreholes funded with N$5 million allocated from the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development are expected to be completed by February next year.
The project aims to ensure a reliable water supply for the community and neighbouring areas, reducing dependency on NamWater’s water delivery services.
A company called Shamarunga Trading Enterprises CC has been awarded the contract for the boreholes project.
Kamanjab Village Council Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bianca Nguaiko, said the initiative will address critical water challenges faced by residents in various areas.
Notably, one borehole has already been successfully drilled.
