The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) has forged a partnership with the local film industry to produce its latest edutainment television series, confirmed last Friday.

Despite being considered a low-hanging economic fruit, Namibia’s film industry has historically struggled to attract investments, resulting in limited exposure for local content and stories.

In contrast, prominent local corporations have frequently opted for artists and actors from neighbouring countries for their campaigns and adverts, further exacerbating the challenges faced by the domestic film industry.
