South African President Cyril Ramaphosa reassured the enduring strength of the ties between Namibia and his country despite the recent passing of President Hage Geingob.

Ramaphosa was in Namibia on Saturday to pay his respect and offer his  condolences to former First Lady Monica Geingos at the late President’s residence in Windhoek.

He also met new President Nangolo Mbumba at State House for a courtesy call.

At that meeting, Ramaphosa stressed that the relationship between the two nations will not only continue but also grow stronger in the future.

“The relationship between Namibia and South Africa will persist and will even strengthen,” he affirmed.
