Following the conclusion of the two-day Sasscal-organised Green Hydrogen Symposium in Windhoek this week, the first cohort of students in the green hydrogen scholarship program will be departing for Germany, with others set to follow later.

This initiative is made possible through an N$800 million grant funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education, aimed at providing education opportunities in green hydrogen development to 183 young Namibians aged between 18 and 35.

The program seeks to equip Namibians with the necessary skills to excel in this emerging sector.
