The government, along with its stakeholders, has finalised the drafting of the Land Bill, which has now been submitted to the Cabinet Committee on Legislation (CCL) for consideration.

This was revealed by Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform,  Carl Schlettwein, during the inauguration of Communal Land Boards in Windhoek last week.

“We have completed the arduous yet essential processes of stakeholder consultation and legal drafting. The Land Bill has been submitted to the Cabinet Committee on Legislation for consideration,” Schlettwein announced.

Following the CCL’s review, the bill will be presented to Parliament for further consideration.
