In 2002, someone at the African Union thought of a unique way to include the contributions of Africas first ladies to Africa’s development plans. The result was the formation of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) and 24 years later, Namibia has a female president and a first gentleman and he is invited to their event in Luanda, Angola.
