Over the past decade, Ongwediva has seen a dramatic slowdown in land and property
development, evidenced by only 930 transactions worth N$485 million, a trend highlighted
by urbanist Fransisco Neshila.

Minister Modestu Amutse has clarified that Namibia will pursue flexible, negotiated
ownership models rather than imposing blanket equity demands that could jeopardize the
country’s attractiveness to global investors.

Worrying claims that a High Court case had to be postponed because the accused were
allegedly too hungry and too weak to continue with the trial.
