In 2016, the AU adopted the Kigali Declaration during their 27th Summit which was held in Kigali, Rwanda. The states the AUs determination to ensure that the African Union (AU) is financed in a
predictable, sustainable, equitable and accountable manner with the full ownership
by its Member States. How far away from achieving this goal as of 2026?
