1. Daniel Petrus, a small scale farmer at Etunda Green Scheme says he has not been able to water his crop field for seven days because the manager of Etunda removed his water meter.
According to a document in possession of EagleFM the water was cut on 12 July 2022 due to disputes in setting the water bill. Petrus suggested to settle the bill by paying with dry maize 320 kg worth N$1 990 and the remaining would be paid by selling tomatoes.
2. The manger of Etunda Green Scheme Sacky Shilyomunhu has expressed concern of theft when it comes to items and equipments at the irrigation project. This comes as three men allegedly stole items worth N$68 442 from a warehouse at the Etunda Green Scheme on Saturday.
3. The ministry of environment confiscates 75 planks that were found buried on farm in the Kavango West region after a tip off from the public.
4. Valaria Nepembe, co-owner of VFK Investments, has accused the Oshakati town council of scamming them of their Erfs and clients since 2019.
VFK Investments is a house constructing company in Oshakati. Meanwhile, the Oshakati mayor Leonard Hango has told Eagle FM that he was aware of the matter, stating that the Erfs do not belong to VKF investments but rather to the town council.
5. Newly crowned Ovaherero Paramount Chief professor Mutjinde Katjiua’s role came under fire from the faction in support of Ovitoto chief and chairperson of the Ovaherero Traditional Authority ombara Vipuira Kapuuo who is disputing his inauguration, citing that he is still a mere subject of OTA and therefore doesn’t have any locus standi in the OTA hence his adoption.
6. National African Student Association (NASA) president Paulus Vihemba says the association is not happy with only 5GB of data being allocated for general use for students.
