ON THE RADAR WITH JUSTICIA ( 22 MARCH 2022)
1.Two men were arrested on 18 February 2022 in Windhoek after approaching a person living with albinism asking him to sell them his hair. The unnamed person with albinism then reached out to the Namibia Albinism Association, which then tipped off the police about the offer.
2. PDM parliamentarian Nico Smit says that parliament’s work has been put on hold as a result of parliamentarians “taking another holiday”, a day after Independence Day celebrations.
3. Various Namibian Police regional commanders are impressed with the low rate of crimes reported over the past weekend, saying that locals were on their best behaviour.
4. The mines ministry and local financial institutions left out Namibians who are part of 746 Exclusive Prospecting Licences (EPL) holders, LPM had said.
5. As Namibia concluded its 32nd Independence anniversary celebrations at Swakopmund, a few political party leaders have come out to say they were never invited while others were and opted not to go.
