MORNING SCOOP WITH SHELLEYGAN & KELVIN (17 AUGUST 2020)
Walvis Bay mayor Immanuel Wilfried said Farm 37 is ready for occupation with effect from today.
Wilfried told Eagle FM that people had not been moved onto the land because the process takes long.
He also said they have one earth moving equipment which are currently levelling the dunes.
Erongo governor Neville Andre recently said some people from Twaloloka now called Otweya will be moved to Farm 37.
The issue of Farm 37 goes back to 2017 when the mayor told the people that he would do everything to ensure that they have been given land.
The latest move has been necessitated by a fire that burned down some shacks in Twaloloka last month.
