THE TWILIGHT WITH MATHIAS (25 SEPTEMBER 2025)
Enemy of Progress
We often talk about development. In fact, we sometimes complain when there’s little or no visible progress happening in our communities. And by development, I mean the construction of essential infrastructure such as schools, shopping malls, markets, hospitals, and more.
These facilities are not only useful—they’re necessary. They bring employment opportunities, often better-paying jobs with benefits, and most importantly, they stimulate the local economy. The more people work and earn, the more they spend, and businesses thrive as a result.
