The latest peace report from the UN secretary General Antonio Guterres points to the troubling trend of nations spending more on weapons than on peace mechanisms to help the world to become a safer place to live in. At a glance, the world spent at least USD 2.7 trillion in 2024 versus a mere USD 300 billion needed to solve poverty.
