Earlier this year an amendment to our Procurement Act was tabled to deal with, among other things, the sluggishness in the supplying of clinical supplies, foodstuffs for schools due, e.t.c – which was mostly caused by disputes among bidders leading to the rise in emergency procurements which are known to be more costly.
