1. My colleague Nghilunanye Petrus spoke to Antonia Dumbu, an economist and SME Development Officer at NCCI, who shared insights on where Namibia stands, what’s fueling our momentum, and what’s still needed to build a truly competitive startup ecosystem.

2. In 2019, Africa generated an estimated 2.9 million tonnes of e-waste, equating to about 2.5 kilograms per person. While this may be among the lowest per capita rates globally, over 60% of the e-waste found on the continent comes from imports. In short, Africa may not produce the most, but it certainly receives a significant share.

3. African leaders are making statements and pronouncements from left and right about their resources and what they intend to do. However, tangible actions and transformations are yet to be seen.
