1. The Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, has ordered all government health facilities and regional offices to launch regular clean-up campaigns. This comes after a Cabinet directive calling for improved hygiene and cleanliness across all public institutions.

2. The EU Placing Namibia among the high-risk jurisdictions, despite its efforts to address various regulatory and oversight weaknesses, has been frowned upon locally.

The country’s financial system watchdog, the Financial Intelligence Centre (FICiN ) responded that the listing does not minimize Namibia’s efforts in strengthening its systems.

On 10 June 2025, the European Union Commission updated list indicates that Namibia and other four African countries such as Algeria, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, and Kenya are added to the list of high-risk jurisdictions.
