The Chinese crafted and wrote their own constitution in 1949 after they got their independence. This was not done in English but Chinese languages (Mandarin).

There were no former colonizers during the writing of the constitution.

Contrast to the Namibian case. The Namibian constitution was drafted, with the presence of the former colonizers.

So what can it take for the country to draft its own constitution?
