A. Namibia’s electricity supply is stable with a possible reduction in imports on the horizon. NamPower Managing Director Kahenge Haulofu told Eagle FM that the country only imported 46% of its energy demand from between January and September this year.

B. Shell Namibia may not be affected by the parent company’s 9 000 job cuts. Royal Dutch Shell last month announced that it plans to cut up to 9,000 jobs as Covid-19 accelerates a companywide shift of the oil and gas giant to low-carbon energy. 

C. Meatco bought 60 head of cattle from President Hage Geingob earlier this month. The procurement of the cattle was through the meat processing company’s livestock production and value addition department.
