1. Mines and energy minister Tom Alweendo says that Namibia’s institutions and legal framework are such that there is no reason why the oil discoveries and the production of green hydrogen should not be a blessing for the country.
2. The budget debate concluded in the National Assembly on Wednesday.
After Finance minister Ipumbu Shiimi tabled a N$84 billion budget for the 2023/24 financial year, members had spent weeks given their input on it.
Shiimi in the National Assembly while responding to contributions by the members said some contributions are usual while others wanted to show off their literacy skills.
3. Health minister Kalumbi Shangula has stated that medical equipment are expensive and once they crumble it may take time to get them up and running again as parts are not readily available in Namibia.
4. The Public Service Commission (PSC) this week kicked off with regional engagements and networking consultations on the commission’s roles and mandates with regard to employment challenges, solutions and inquiries.
