1. Minstry of Health and Social Services hosted a significant session at the Thuringerhof Hotel in Windhoek, marking the observance of May Mental Health Awareness Month. Organised for Members of Parliament, under the theme “Turn Awareness into Action”
2. The Ministry of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive and accessible education by promising that every child will have a guaranteed space in school by January 2026. This bold pledge aims to eliminate barriers to education, ensuring that no child is left behind due to lack of school placement.
3. CRAN at GIC, spoke on official launch of NAM-CSIRT — Namibia’s Computer Security Incident Response Team — a national body created to combat the growing threat of cybercrime.
4. Financial markets responded cautiously but positively to the announcement of a framework agreement between the U.S. and China. On June 10th, major indices such as the S&P 500 and the FTSE 100 saw modest gains, while oil prices nudged slightly higher.
