1. In response to the recent brutal killing of two children and a teenage girl in Okahandja, the United Nations has called on the Namibian government to strengthen its efforts in safeguarding women and children. 2. Agribank technical advisor for crops and poultry, Hanks Saisai, said that the country’s seven crop production zones, “Vegetables grown at the right time typically thrive and grow optimally, producing significant yields,” he said.
Saisai highlighted that during winter, farmers in the various zones can grow a variety of winter vegetables such as onions, cabbage, lettuce, beetroot, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower to meet local demand.
