  1. The parliament discussions continued on the Air Namibia situation. Iipumbu Shiimi, finance minister, who had abstained from speaking in earlier sessions, had his say in the final session of the week.
  2. The PDM’s president , McHenry venaani said that the critical discussion about the consultation process over the airline’s future is still not being addressed in the chambers, with the PDM leader indicating that a string of acts provide such a platform to take place.
  3. The Namibian Correctional Services have changed the outfits of the inmates from dark green, to orange.Deputy Commissioner General MAriana MArtin said that this was to distinguish the uniform of the inmates where necessary – even when an inmate has escaped.
