MORNING SCOOP WITH KELVIN & SHELLEYGAN (18 AUGUST 2020)
On the Early Morning Scoop we spoke to a Namibian Ruusa Uuwanga who is a student at the Hubei University of Technology in Wuhan, the first coronavirus epicenter, said he was in his room for 7 months and Namibia only offered a helping hand with allowances in the last few month.
We also spoke to teh Pick n Pay Managing Director Graeme Mouton who said the employees chose retrenchment over salary cuts, no annual salary increments and bonuses.
Mouton refuted claims that employees who have worked for Pick n Pay for 20 received N$ 5 000 as their payout.
Meanwhile, one of the employees who were retrenched said the salary cuts were implemented for two months before they were let go.
