A youth-led network is advocating for the creation of more platforms to enable young people in Namibia to actively participate in national initiatives combating climate change.
This call was made by ToiniAmutenya, the country director for an organisationcalled the National Youth Climate Action Network of Namibia, or simply, Youth4CAN.
Amutenyaemphasised the importance of this advocacy, especially considering that there is a variety of institutions receptive to ideas about combating climate change and building resilience, which are currently unknown to many young people.
She discussed this during an interview on Eagle FM, addressing the youth’s reluctance to submit proposals due to piracy fears.
