Cricket Namibia announced former player, Craig Williams, as the new coach of the men’s national side for the next three years, following the resignation of Pierre de Bruyne last month.
Williams will have big shoes to fill but is ready to take on the challenge. Pierre de Bruyne led Namibia to ODI status in 2019, guided the team to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021, 2022, and 2024, and coached the team to victories over two full-member countries. “I look forward to continuing the legacy that Pierre created for us. We will continue the standards that Pierre set,” Williams expressed.
