The Namibia Security Labour Forum (NSLF) has announced a phased implementation of a national minimum wage for the security industry, aimed at improving the livelihoods of security personnel while addressing challenges faced by employers.

Speaking at a stakeholder meeting, NSLF representative Onesmus Anapo revealed that the hourly minimum wage will rise to N$13.50 per hour in 2025, with further increments to N$16 per hour in 2026 and N$18 per hour in 2027.

He emphasised that this progression reflects the government commitment to balancing fair compensation for workers with the sustainability of businesses in the security sector.
