The National Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS) results indicate that none of Namibia’s 14 regions managed to qualify at least 40% of their learners to advance to Grade 12.

The latest examination statistics, shows that no region was able to have even half of its learners progress to Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level, a system introduced in 2020.

Oshikoto Region recorded the highest qualification rate, with 36.9% of its 4,056 learners meeting the AS Level criteria.

However, Omusati, Khomas, and Ohangwena, despite having the highest number of candidates – each with approximately 5,300 learners – also failed to reach the 40% threshold.

Khomas, which had the most learners sitting for the Grade 11 national exam (5,748), managed to qualify only 1,753 learners for AS Level.
