The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) says it is facing some challenges with the ongoing national population and housing census.
According to NSA, enumerators are faced with the challenge of high walls and locked gates making it difficult to reach those living in the promises.
The Deputy Statistician General of the NSA, Ottilie Mwazi, said the challenges of closed gates are not only being encountered at farms but also in the urban areas.
“Even in towns here, the high walls, the gated walls communities, these are now the high-class people. The same people who are doing the planning are the same people who are refusing to open. They just peep through the window and don’t open.”
