Namibia has banned the import of fresh and frozen meat and meat products from cloven-hoofed animals from Germany following a confirmed report of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in the European country effective immediately.

The ban also includes unpasteurised milk and milk-derived products, live cloven-hoofed animals, untreated hides, skins, hairs and trophies from cloven-hoofed animals.
