Two Chinese nationals were arrested at Hosea Kutako International Airport on Tuesday on charges of including possession of controlled wildlife products, exporting without a permit, conspiracy to commit a crime, among other offenses.
The two, Hou Xuecheng (47) and Xianming Zhang (44).
The two are also charged with violations of the Animal Health Act, Customs Act, and the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.
Their arrests followed a security inspection at the airport, where seal genital parts, cash, beers, and Aloe Vera boxes were discovered in their luggage.
