The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Youth, Sports and Culture, Dino Ballotti, has urged school principals across the country to make school halls available for indoor sports, particularly in the Kavango East Region.
He made this call on Saturday during an engagement with regional sports officers and coaches in Rundu.
Ballotti emphasised the urgent need to create safe and accessible spaces for young people to participate in sports, especially in urban areas where recreational facilities are limited.
“School halls, which often remain unused after school hours, can be transformed into venues for indoor sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, boxing, and table tennis,” Ballotti said.
