Off The Hook, this evening is addressing 2 social and health issues that affect Namibia!

We have spoken to

Ms Farayi Zimudzi,  Country Representative The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

Dr Shaun Whittakker who wants us to look at the Psychology of Racism

Speaking to Ms Farayi,
Entering 2020, the number of hungry and malnourished people around the world was already on the rise due to an increase in violent conflict and climate change impacts. Today, over 800 million people face chronic undernourishment and 100 million people are in need of lifesaving food assistance. The novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, risks undermining the efforts of humanitarian and food security organizations seeking to reverse these trends.

In part 2 of Off The Hook,

We discuss with Clinical Psychologist, Dr Shaun Whittaker to highlight examples of psychologically historically derived ideas and cultural patterns that maintain present-day racial inequalities.
