1. The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform has officially lifted the temporary ban on the importation of maize seeds from South Africa, with immediate effect. 2. The Government of Namibia officially participated in the US-Africa Business Summit in Luanda, Angola. The Namibian delegation highlighted opportunities in green energy, agribusiness, mining and ICT, underlining the country’s strategic advantage and stable investment climate. President Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah spoke at the event, interrogated with economists Charles Kakuru.

3. The Strait of Hormuz—a narrow stretch of sea between Iran and the Gulf countries. It’s one of the most important trade routes in the world because about a quarter of the world’s oil and a big share of natural gas pass through it every day.
