The nine resettled generational farmworkers will have access to agricultural loans through the state-owned Agribank.

This was confirmed by the Deputy Executive Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Peter Nangolo, last week.

The deputy agricultural head was asked what would happen after the farms were handed over, during the land certificate last week.

Nangolo stated that the 9 beneficiaries will be given the technical know-how in agriculture and financial management.

He also stated that the Ministry will capitalise Agri Bank in order to assist the farmers to be able to access this money as loans to upgrade their farming and production capabilities.

“All the resettled farmers will have access to N$200,000  to buy things such as seeds, water, and animals,” Nangolo said.
